Community of Conscience Breakfast, May 11, 2017

“If change is going to come, we have to be the ones to lead the way.”

Curdina Hill, Casa Myrna’s first Executive Director

7:30 AM – 9:00 AM, Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the State Room Boston

On May 11, we welcomed more than 300 guests to an uplifting celebration of the founders and past leaders (some of whom are pictured below), who made possible 40 years of new beginnings for survivors and their children. Casa Myrna has worked to support survivors and end domestic violence since 1977. In 2017, we are celebrating our milestone 40th anniversary by looking back on our inspiring past and looking forward to an even brighter future. This year’s Community of Conscience Breakfast illuminated our growth from a single safe place for women fleeing violence into an agency that now serves thousands of survivors and their children annually as they rebuild lives free from abuse. Thank you to our speakers Curdina Hill, Ayanna Pressley, and Karyn Polito; our emcee José Massó; our staff; our sponsors; our hosts at the State Room, and our founders, past leaders, and their families for making the Community of Conscience an incredibly moving and thought-provoking morning.
