Casa Myrna’s 40th Anniversary, 1977 – 2017
Celebrate 40 Years of New Beginnings
In 1977, Casa Myrna opened its doors as just one shelter, staffed entirely by volunteers. Now, in 2017, we’re Boston’s largest provider of shelter and supportive services to survivors of domestic violence and their children and a powerful voice for social justice statewide. We’ve grown a lot, but our passion has remained the same: making sure all survivors can access the resources they need to rebuild safe, stable, and joyful lives for themselves and their families. Throughout 2017, please join us to honor our foremothers and forefathers, celebrate the enduring strength of survivors, and look towards a future where every relationship is safe and healthy.
Events as Diverse as Our Community
For the last 40 years, the diversity of supporters like you has made it possible for Casa Myrna to thrive. In recognition of this fact, we’re not hosting a single one-size-fits-all event to celebrate our anniversary. Instead, we’re taking advantage of the occasion to host 12 events that will uplift every member of our vibrant community, including entrepreneurs, policymakers, artists, professionals, philanthropists, activists—and, most importantly, you.
