Team CMV participates in 110th Boston Marathon…
and raises more than $58,000!
On Monday, April 17th, a group of 15 dedicated marathoners participated in the 110th Boston Marathon as members of Team CMV, raising more than $58,000 to benefit Casa Myrna Vazquez.
Casa Myrna was one of 18 charities selected by the Boston Athletic
Association to field a team through their Charity Program. Participating
runners were not required to have a qualifying time to enter the race,
but they had to raise a minimum of $2,500 for their sponsoring charity.
Each and every member of Team CMV surpassed that goal, with our
top fundraiser bringing in over $9,000. We are very proud of our team,
a diverse group of men and women who ranged in age from 22 to 65.
They represented many professions and levels of running experience,
but all were committed to raising awareness about domestic violence
and Casa Myrna, raising money to support our programs and services,
and of course, taking on the oldest and most prestigious Marathon
in the country.
We would like to congratulate and thank each and every one of them
for their outstanding spirit and exceptional effort: Ryan Boccuzzi,
Jaclyn Cmero, Richard Connolly, Lisa Core, John Costello,
Jinnie DeSiata, Erin Dunham, Rachel Dunlap, Alba Figueroa,
Jennifer Hatch, Victoria Lothrop, Mara Lounsbury,
Timothy Manning, Fredric Paulsen, and Kirsten Rhee.
